Kishore is from Bombay, India. Even from his early teens he experienced a longing for God and a strong urge to serve Him, especially in the poor. He attended daily Mass and took the time to regularly visit poor families, the sick in hospitals, the dying and the destitute. By these works of charity, God surely planted the seed of a vocation in his heart. But it was not to blossom yet. The family was poor and Kishore, being the oldest child, had to find a job to help support his brother and three sisters.

At 17 years of age, Kishore found a job at the Naval Dockyard of Bombay where he would work for the next 18 years. During the course of these years, Kishore had also joined Miles Jesu at the age of 22.

He was a dependable and hard worker. After 12 years on the job, Kishore had risen to a supervisor’s position with 150 men under him. His specific job was to coordinate the refitting and repair of submarines. Since joining Miles Jesu, Kishore learned how to use his job as an apostolate in itself. On the job he developed the good habit of befriending workers and giving them good advice of all kinds. Only a year ago now, at the age of 35, Kishore left everything behind to begin his preparation for the priesthood.
